Some people might think that people who wear gothic jewellery and dye their hair black must have all had horrible upbringings to turn out that way. Well, no, we didn’t. Some of us just like listening to that “shouty” music and jumping around in a mosh pit. It doesn’t automatically mean we’re depressed. In fact, my upbringing was pretty solid. I was an only child, my parents are still together now and we were never short of money. They have never had a problem with the way I dress or the music I listen to, so long as I had it low enough that they didn’t have to listen to it too! My mother always says that my hair looks better when it’s not so dark but I disagree. I mean, look at Katy Perry. Her hair is jet black it looks amazing. In fact, it would look odd otherwise.
